The Garrett County Health Department is sponsoring a Bike Rodeo on October 27 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Grantsville Town Hall, 171 Hill Street, Grantsville.
According to the health department, the event will teach and encourage kids to ride bikes safely. Participants should bring their own bike and helmet. No helmet? The health department will supply one for free.
What to expect: a helmet fitting and safety check, traffic signs and signals, a bike mechanical check and pedestrian safety. The event is in partnership with law enforcement officers from the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office.
