Garrett County Public Schools (GCPS) is pleased to announce and welcome Mrs. Gloria Smith as the new Director of Finance. Today marks the beginning of Mrs. Smith’s career with GCPS, and we are excited to have her join our team.
Mrs. Smith brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in finance to this position, having previously worked in the private sector. She has a proven track record of success in managing budgets, forecasting financial trends, and implementing effective financial strategies.
In her new role, Mrs. Smith will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities within the district, including budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting. She will work closely with the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education, and other key stakeholders to ensure that GCPS continues to operate efficiently and effectively.
