GCHD/DFCC 2023 Core Measure Survey to be Administered on April 17, 2023

Our schools are taking part in the 2023 Core Measure Survey. This survey is sponsored by the Garrett County Health Department and the Garrett County Drug-Free Communities Coalition. The survey gathers information about substance use among 6th- to 12th-grade students. Questions ask about past 30-day use, perception of risk, perception of parental disapproval, and perception of peer disapproval of the use of alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, and prescription drugs. The results of the survey will be used by local agencies, schools, and communities to plan and evaluate programs. We are planning to administer the survey on April 17, 2023.

As a parent, you have the right to review student surveys as well as the right to opt your child out of participation in certain surveys, including the Core Measure Survey. The parent notification letter, parental opt-out form, and the Garrett County Core Measure survey are available on our website on the Core Measure tab, on the left side of the Student Services page.
