GC donates to Dove Center and One Billion Rising Foundation

Garrett College recently made a donation to two charities in support of female empowerment and success, as a result of the production of Eve Ensler’s award-winning play The Vagina Monologues, hosted by the college.

Garrett College students presented a check in the amount of $2,098.31 to the Dove Center, a domestic violence crisis center in Garrett County, while $233.12 was donated to the International One Billion Rising Foundation, an organization that aims to end violence against women.  Proceeds included the sale of tickets and merchandise at the event.
