Garrett Regional Medical Center is the only hospital in Maryland to make Becker’s list of 350 cleanest hospitals. The list recognizes hospitals that have achieved a Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) 5-star rating for cleanliness.
CMS’s data was compiled from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) patient surveys. HCAHPS is a national, standardized survey of hospital patients about their experience during a recent inpatient hospital stay. The surveys were completed between October 2022 and September 2023. The data was last updated July 31.
