WVU Medicine Garrett Regional Medical Center recently recognized two nursing assistants with the Sunshine Award in honor of their exceptional compassion, kindness, and dedication to patient care.
Certified nursing assistant Trevor Minovitz of the medical-surgical unit and geriatric nursing assistant Robin Warren of subacute were both recognized for their commitment to providing outstanding support to patients, families, and fellow team members.
According to Trevor’s nomination form, a coworker shared that he consistently embodies the values of the Sunshine Award through his supportive, sincere, and hardworking nature.
“He is always willing to step in and help wherever needed, bringing a positive attitude and a smile that uplifts those around him. Trevor collaborates exceptionally well with other departments, helping to create a strong sense of teamwork and unity throughout the organization. His integrity, dedication, and nurturing approach to both coworkers and patient care make him an invaluable part of the team.”
According to Robin’s nomination form, one patient shared:
“I received extraordinary, wonderful care at every level. Their personal warmth and friendliness were greatly appreciated, but I would like to give a huge shout out to Red Robin, who became my friend while I was in subacute. She was always kind and got to know me as a person, not just a patient.”
“The Sunshine Award recognizes clinical support staff members who exemplify outstanding service and compassion in their daily work,” said hospital leadership. “Trevor and Robin’s dedication reflects the core values and mission of Garrett Regional Medical Center and contributes to a positive experience for patients and their families.”
