Garrett County Hosts WIC Coordinators from Across Maryland

Garrett County hosted the Annual WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) Association of Maryland Workshop October 18-20 at the WISP Lodge. Local agency WIC Coordinators gathered in McHenry, Maryland, to network, support, and learn from each other as WIC providers. Coordinators were invited to walk and experience nature at Deep Creek Lake State Park. Educational topics included in the workshop ranged from Post Waivers/Pandemic – How’s Staff & Clinic Doing?, Serving Gender and Sexual Minority Community Members, and Motivate with Motivating Motivation. Annual elections for the association were held along with the monthly State WIC Meeting.
