Garrett College ‘Giving Day’ is December 3rd

The Garrett College Foundation will host its Third Annual Giving Day fundraiser on Tuesday, December 3rd.

The event seeks to increase funding “to support the evolving and critical needs of underserved Garrett College students,” said Cherie Krug, executive director of the Garrett College Foundation.

Krug said Giving Day gifts – which can be made any time from now through December 3rd – will help expand the Garrett College Foundation Fund. That fund offers emergency grants to students experiencing crises related to transportation, housing, or food insecurity.

“No matter how exceptional the classroom experience, instructional materials, or educators are, students cannot succeed if their basic needs go unmet,” said Krug. “By providing these essential resources, we aim to ensure our students are ready and able to learn.”

Contributions are being accepted immediately and will continue through “Giving Tuesday” (December 3rd), providing an extended opportunity for community members to make a meaningful impact.

All gifts made during this campaign, including those given prior to Giving Tuesday, will go directly to the Garrett College Foundation Fund and are fully tax-deductible.

Financial support will help ensure that students’ fundamental needs are met, enabling them to focus on their education and achieve their academic goals, Krug said.
