Garrett College Foundation Launches ‘Season of Giving’ Campaign

Initiative starts Thursday, runs through ‘Pay It Forward Day’

The Garrett College Foundation will launch its “Season of Giving” campaign on Thursday, November 20th, serving as an extended fundraising effort running through “Pay It Forward Day” on April 28th.

The “Season of Giving” combines two previous initiatives – the “Pay It Forward” Textbook Scholarship and “Giving Tuesday” campaigns – into one cohesive effort to strengthen student support, according to GCF Coordinator of Grants and Program Funds Kearstin Hinebaugh. The campaign aims to increase funding to support the evolving and critical needs of Garrett College students.

“We created this extensive window to provide the community ample opportunity to make a lasting impact,” said Hinebaugh.

Gifts made during the campaign benefit the Garrett College Foundation’s Annual Fund, which provides flexible, unrestricted support. These gifts allow the College to direct resources where they are needed most, whether that means assisting a student in crisis, launching new academic programs, or upgrading essential classroom equipment.

“Gifts to the Annual Fund are more than line items in a budget – they are lifelines for our students,” said Hinebaugh. “No matter how exceptional the classroom experience or educators are, students cannot succeed if their basic needs go unmet. Donor support ensures that every student has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive without the burden of financial stress.”

Hinebaugh said “every gift, no matter the size, strengthens Garrett College and demonstrates a shared belief in the College’s mission to provide opportunity and education that transform lives.”
