Large numbers of birds are predicted to be migrating over Garrett County tonight and this weekend!
This year we commemorate the 20th anniversary of September 11, 2001. Life changed that day and we remember and honor each of the fallen heroes. Within a short drive from Deep Creek Lake, you can visit the Flight 93 Memorial. This weekend, chalk artists have gathered to complete 40 portraits of the passengers and crew members of Flight 93.
We have heard the official word. The Autumn Glory Grand Feature parade is ON (organized by the Town of Oakland) and they have extended the float application deadline.
Hospice of Garrett County posted that they compose a list of paid caregivers that are available to provide in-home care throughout our community, and currently there is a greater need than normal.
