The Board of Garrett County Commissioners are considering a resolution to recognize Garrett County as a Second Amendment Sanctuary County. This is a measure taken by local-level governments to express its commitment to the Second Amendment; the rights of all United States citizens to keep and bear arms. The Board of Commissioners will accept comments on this topic through March 20, 2020. The Appalachian Regional Commission is launching “Envision Appalachia: Community Conversations for ARC’s New Strategic Plan”. There will be a series of community listening sessions in the region but you can also offer your input through a quick survey.
