The Board of County Commissioners Meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Bloomington Volunteer Fire Department. The meeting will also be Live Streamed at https://www.facebook.com/garrettcountygovernment/.
The Deep Creek Lake Lion’s Club Boat Parade will happen this Saturday, July 2. It will start from the McHenry cove at 7:00 PM and will proceed in single file past a number of judging stations along the route. Spectators at the judging stations will vote for their favorite boats.
Independence Day is celebrated by the Town of Oakland on July 3 at Broadford Park. This fireworks display is coordinated and put on by a small number of volunteers and aided by the support of the Deer Park Fire Department, Southern Garrett Rescue, and the Maryland State Fire Marshal.
