Food & Nutrition Services Supervisor Provides Update at Deep Creek Lake, MD

During the monthly Board meeting on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, Mr. Scott Germain, GCPS Supervisor of Food & Nutrition Services, provided an update regarding the Summer Food Services Program. During the Summer of 2023, the FNS Dept. was able to provide over 230,500 meals during a three-month period at more than 60 locations throughout Garrett County.

The program staff, consisting of 26 members, was recognized with a proclamation from the Garrett County Board of Education members. The staff ensured that children had access to healthy meals and snacks during the summer months, serving as a vital source for families in need.
