Garrett County Public Schools announces the 2023 Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). Meals will be free to eligible children 18 years of age and younger and are available regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability. A foster child and children who are members of households receiving SNAP or TCA benefits are automatically eligible to receive free meal benefits at program sites.

In accordance with federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, this institution is prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity.

To file a program discrimination complaint, a Complainant should complete a Form AD-3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, which can be obtained online at: https://www.usda.gov/sites/default/files/documents/USDA-OASCR%20P-Complaint-Form-0508-0002-508-11-28-17Fax2Mail.pdf, from any USDA office, by calling (866) 632-9992, or by writing a letter addressed to USDA. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:

GCPS FNS Announces Summer Food Services Program Change

The Food & Nutrition Services Department is happy to announce that beginning the week of June 19, 2023, GCPS will be distributing seven days of free Breakfast and Lunch at the following locations and times:

Parents, Guardians, or a designated person may pick up meals for children. You will need the child’s name, school, and grade to pick up meals. If you know a family that cannot get to the meal pick-up sites, please check with them and get the required information; you can take meals to them.

All meals are available to any child 18 and under – free of charge – regardless of whether they are enrolled in Garrett County Public Schools.
