The American Dental Association (ADA) recognizes February as Children’s Dental Health Month, a month-long campaign used to encourage healthcare providers and educators to promote the benefits of good oral health to children within their communities. As always, the Garrett County Health Department’s Dental Care Staff encourages children to limit sugary snacks and drinks, brush and floss their teeth two times daily, and see their dental providers twice a year for checkups.

Visit the ADA website (https://www.ada.org/en/resources/community-initiatives/national-childrens-dental-health-month) for FREE printable activity sheets to use to promote these healthy habits for children.
