Competitive Power Ventures and Harrison Street Asset Management recently celebrated the ribbon-cutting for CPV Backbone Solar, Maryland’s largest utility-scale solar project. Located on a former coal mining site in Garrett County, the 160-megawatt facility repurposes industrial land to provide clean energy while supporting local tax revenues and economic development. A second phase is currently under construction to increase the facility’s total capacity to 175 MW.
