The weather today will be mostly cloudy. Patchy fog in the morning. Showers, with isolated thunderstorms in the morning, then scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon–highs in the upper 70s. Except in the lower 70s at higher elevations. West winds of around 5 to 10 mph. Gusts up to 25 mph in the morning. The chance of rain is 90%.

Entrepreneurship appeals to many Marylanders for its independence and earning potential. However, a recent survey of 3,000 small business owners reveals that 61% in Maryland want to leave their businesses but feel trapped by various constraints. Additionally, nearly 1-in-5 report having no work-life balance.

Maryland State Board and Department of Education honored the 2024-2025 Teachers of the Year at the Nancy S. Grasmick State Education Building. Each of Maryland’s 24 school systems selects an exemplary Teacher of the Year.
