Friday, November 8, Saturday, November 9, and Sunday, November 10: November 9 is World Freedom Day; founded to commemorate the fall of the Berlin wall. But, still today, fundamental freedoms and human rights are threatened for populations around the world. Remember to be kind.

The weather today will be sunny, with highs in the lower 60s and a low of 34. West winds of around 15 to 20 mph, with gusts up to 35 mph. Saturday will be sunny, with highs in the lower 50s and a low of 38. East winds of around 5 to 10 mph. Sunday will be rain showers, with highs in the upper 50s and a low of 49. The chance of rain is 90%.

As of November 7, Maryland has passed peak foliage for the year. The state is still facing severe drought conditions, with over 53% in severe drought and 83% in moderate drought. These dry conditions have led to an active wildfire season, with more than 30 fires since October 1. Maryland implemented a ban on open-air burning as of November 1 to help prevent further fires.
