Fall Trout Stocking for October 7, 2026: Maryland Department of Natural Resources crews stocked 1,950 trout. In Garrett County, golden and rainbow trout were stocked in the Casselman River (delayed harvest).

With deer mating season approaching, wildlife will be crossing roads in unpredictable patterns around the clock as they search for mates and prepare for winter. The Maryland Department of Natural Resources reminds motorists to stay extra vigilant on the road.

The Civic Club of Oakland hosts its 52nd Annual Antiques & Artisans Market tonight from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the Oakland Community Center. The Annual Firemen’s Parade rolls through downtown Oakland tonight from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM as part of the 59th Annual Autumn Glory Festival. Line the streets to cheer on local fire, EMS, and law enforcement units alongside marching bands and community groups.
