The Maryland Department of Natural Resources crews recently stocked over 2,000 trout in Garrett County. The Casselman River (Delayed Harvest) received rainbow trout, while the North Branch Potomac River in Kitzmiller was stocked with both golden and rainbow trout.
The Appalachian Laboratory of UMCES is accepting nominations for the 2025 Richard A. Johnson Environmental Education Award. The Maryland Governor’s Cup Ski Race is this weekend on March 8 at 8:00 AM, with the Snowboard Race on March 9. Registration closes on March 6 at noon—no same-day sign-ups. Limited to 155 athletes, with a $75 fee. It’s great spectating!
