GCPS Inclement Weather Update: Garrett County Public Schools will open two hours late today due to cold weather and a wind chill advisory. Administrative offices will open on time. Please ensure students are dressed warmly with coats, hats, boots, and gloves for their safety.

Governor Wes Moore recently signed an executive order creating the Longevity Ready Maryland Initiative. This directs the Maryland Department of Aging to prioritize the well-being of seniors, people with disabilities, and caregivers throughout the state government, addressing the needs of a growing older adult population.
