The weather today will be a chance of snow with a slight chance of sleet in the morning. Cloudy, with a chance of freezing rain. Little or no snow and sleet accumulation. Ice accumulation of up to a tenth of an inch–highs in the lower 30s. Southeast winds of around 15 to 20 mph. Gusts up to 30 mph, increasing to 40 mph in the afternoon. The chance of precipitation is 50%.

With the snowfall in the last 24 hours, we have received over 88 inches of snow (by my measurements in Oakland) for the season!

Maryland Department of Natural Resources crews have stocked 3,600 trout.

Garrett County Public Schools will conduct a Virtual Learning Day (with live instruction) today, February 12, 2025. Schools will be closed for in-person learning.
