The weather today will be patchy fog in the morning. Mostly cloudy, with a 50% chance of showers–highs in the lower 70s except in the mid-60s at the higher elevations. Southwest winds of around 5 to 10 mph.

As of April 9, Maryland Department of Natural Resources crews stocked more than 8,000 trout.

Deep Creek Lake, a fixture in Garrett County since 1925, was created by damming Deep Creek. Pre-dam, the area had a rich history including two earlier dams, the “Devil’s Castle” rock formation, and Glades being a vacation hotspot in the early 1800s.
