Competitive Power Ventures to Host Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for CPV Backbone Solar, Maryland’s Largest Solar Project

Competitive Power Ventures (CPV) welcomes members of the media to attend the upcoming ribbon-cutting ceremony and dedication for CPV Backbone Solar on Wednesday, May 13th at 10 am.

CPV announced the start of operations at CPV Backbone Solar, a 160-megawatt (MW) solar project located in Garrett County, Maryland.  Situated on a reclaimed, decommissioned coal mine, the 324,000 panels at CPV Backbone Solar are designed to produce enough energy to power 30,000 households and repurpose the land by providing needed generation to the state.

The event will feature a speaking agenda including remarks from CPV leadership, project partners, and local stakeholders.
