Cindy’s Fund is dedicated to the memory of Cindy Hanks Kutchman, who died of ovarian cancer at a young age.
Cindy was instrumental in promoting early cancer screening in Garrett County and establishing the early cancer program through the Garrett County Health Department, which provides screening for those who cannot afford it.
Since its inception in 2003, Cindy’s Fund has assisted hundreds of Garrett County citizens with cancer related expenses. All requests for assistance are taken into consideration.
The annual lip sync event served as a fundraiser for the group and the winner is The Wizard of Oz!
The team that raised the most money was Garrett Regional Medical with $18,128.00. The total money raised for the event was $36,388.
