To POA Members,
The Boat Act Advisory Committee of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources has formed a Subcommittee to consider whether any regulatory action is warranted relating to the use of Wake Boats in Maryland waters.
POA Board members Grant Callery and Lauren McCann are members of the subcommittee.
The subcommittee will review actions taken in other states relating to Wake Boats as a part of its work.
Should POA members have any information, documentation, photos, or videos relating to wake boat issues on Deep Creek Lake that they would like to share with the subcommittee, they can send them by email to Grant Callery at gcallery1@gmail.com for forwarding to the subcommittee. Due to file size limitations, it would be best to send any videos using an external link such as Google Drive or Apple Mail Drop.
The subcommittee plans to make recommendations to the full BAAC by year end.
