Directed by Dr. Sean Beachy, this concert will feature music from America’s past! You will recognize tunes such as “When Johnny Comes Marching Home” and “Barnum and Bailey’s Favorite March.” Medleys such as “American Civil War Fantasy”, “The Roaring Twenties”, “Sing We Liberty” ( Songs of 18th Century Williamsburg), Suite from old American Songs”, and “At A Camp Meeting” will contain many familiar songs from our country’s history.

Admission is free for children 5 and under, Student tickets are $5 and Adult tickets cost $10. your seat and pre-purchase tickets online go to https://www.performingartsgc.com/. The Garrett Community Concert Band is supported in part by the Maryland State Arts Council and the Garrett County Arts Council. This community band includes about 40 musicians of all ages and walks of life, from middle school students to retirees in their 80’s. The band was formed in the summer of 2000 and donates annual scholarships at their July 3rd Broadford Lake Park performance.
This summer the band will also be performing at the Garrett County Fairgrounds on Saturday, July 18 for the Garrett 250 Birthday Bash. “Celebrating America Together” is a countywide celebration from noon – 10 pm to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. All are welcome at this FREE event featuring local music, history, food, and community!
