Jen Virts will be coordinating and directing the March 2025 Women’s History Monologues, and we can’t tell you how excited all of us on the AAUW Executive Board are about this!! Jen will be having our first meeting regarding the 2025 Women’s Monologues on Thursday, December 5, at 5:00 PM, at Vagabond Taproom on Alder Street in Oakland. Anyone interested in being a part of this performance should plan to attend or contact Jen Virts to express your interest. This project involves researching an important female figure who was or is a trailblazer for equality and activism, our theme for this year, and presenting a glimpse of that woman’s life in the form of a monologue. This does not require past performance experience, and we can offer help in writing your monologue. Please consider coming out to join us for this celebration of female trailblazers! This year’s event also hopes to involve young women from the community performing mini monologues written at a workshop we will hold this winter. Email Jen for more information- jlvirts@gmail.com
