Women’s Weekly Thursday Mountain Bike Ride
Trail Talk!
Sport: Mountain Bike
Participants: 5
Trail(s): Orange
System: Herrington Manor State Park

Thursday’s ride was so much fun! We kicked things off with chaos by booking it to the lake house, racing the rain, and luckily, we made it! Inside, we took a breather, shared some gear tips, and did a little teaching about body positioning on the bike. Once the rain moved off, we went to the flat area on the top of the dam for some light practice.

Then, it was time to hit the orange trail. We really got to work, practicing standing up and fine-tuning our “level-pedal” skills. Our newest rider did an amazing job! The group was full of encouragement and her great attitude made the ride even better.

We also took a moment to enjoy the beauty of the trail—snapping photos of snails, fiddlehead ferns, and our bikes bathed in sunlight. It was the perfect way to appreciate nature and each other. A wonderful ride with great company and some solid progress for our newest rider!

Can’t wait for the next one! 🌿🚴‍♀️
