The Garrett County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Garrett County Department of Business Development, hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, October 3, 2025, to celebrate the grand opening of Ally Fox’s State Farm office in Oakland, Maryland.
The event was led by Connor Norman, Business Development Specialist and Chair of the Garrett County Diplomats. Local leaders in attendance included Commissioner Paul Edwards, Don Sincell, the Mayor of Mountain Lake Park, and Chamber President Nick Sharps.
Garrett County Diplomats Kim Carter, Julie Mead, and Connor Norman also took part in the celebration, presenting owner Ally Fox with a First Dollar of Profit Certificate and assisting with the ceremonial ribbon cutting.
