Thousand Acres Golf Club, at Deep Creek Lake MD, proudly welcomes back Bob Raley as the new club General Manager. Bob launched his career with Thousand Acres in 2007, with the construction of the first nine holes, currently available for play. He returns this month to oversee the completion of the back nine holes and will lead the club to fulfill its 18-hole championship course destiny, anticipated in the summer of 2022.
Not only is Bob a Garrett County, MD local favorite, he’s an accomplished agronomist and has worked for national turfgrass and fertilizer companies. “This is a dream job for me. I get to finish what I started, do what I love, and help develop and manage one of the most beautiful and challenging courses in any resort area.” The course is continually top-rated by players on social media and apps like TheGrint, GolfShot, Facebook, and Google reviews. The course is housed in the private, luxury wooded lakeside community of Thousand Acres, and is open for play to members, residents, and the public.
