5 Million Trees: Grow a Tree for Every Marylander

This initiative seeks to plant 5 million trees in Maryland by 2031, prioritizing native trees and planting in underserved areas. These trees are in addition to normal planting activities, so this is a huge project! The initiative is coordinated by organizations across Maryland, including government agencies and nonprofits. DNR will provide technical assistance, seedlings, planting execution, and project management.
