The Deep Creek Dunk’s 25th Anniversary will be held February 23 & 24, 2024 at the Uno’s and Honi Honi on Deep Creek Lake all to benefit Special Olympics Maryland.
WHO- Brave Dunkers take a dip into the frozen Deep Creek Lake
WHAT- The Maryland State Police/Natural Resources Police will host the 25th Deep Creek Dunk on Saturday, February 24th, 2024 at Deep Creek Lake in western Maryland. More than 400 participants from across the state will take a dunk into the chilly waters of Deep Creek Lake to raise funds for Special Olympics Maryland (SOMD). All funds will benefit the Garrett County Special Olympics Maryland athletes.
The Deep Creek Dunk is the third part of the Special Olympics Maryland winter water series. The Dunk will kick off with the Cool Schools Dunk Starting at 11AM Friday, February 23rd and then the Goosebumps, Grapes, & Growlers – Wine & Beer Tasting and live music that Friday night.
Registration is now open at www.DunkMD.com or by calling 410-242-1515. Participants must raise a minimum of $75 in pledges and will receive a commemorative event sweatshirt, a food coupon provided by uno’s Pizzeria and Grill and the great feeling of freezing their “fur” off for a truly worthy cause.
