Garrett College is now accepting applications for the 2027 cohort of Leadership Garrett County, according to a Nov. 3 announcement from the college. Applications are due Jan. 17, and the program begins Feb. 3.
Leadership Garrett County is a community-focused professional development program. Its curriculum covers regional issues, organizational structures and leadership practices, using case studies, exercises and networking.
Participants hear from guest speakers and tour local businesses. The program ends with a capstone project in which participants present recommendations for addressing a challenge in Garrett County.
“Leadership Garrett County is dedicated to building a strong community by empowering its future leaders,” said Kaitlyn Glotfelty, the college’s director of community and professional education.
