2023 Autumn Glory King & Queen Applications Due April 30, 2023

The Garrett County Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting applications for the 2023 Autumn Glory King and Queen.

Students may download applications on the 56th Annual Autumn Glory Festival page of visitdeepcreek.com. Along with the application and the application fee of $25, students are required to submit a 300-word essay detailing why they should be selected as the 56th Annual Autumn Glory Festival King or Queen.

If selected, the Autumn Glory King & Queen must be able to attend the following events (dates subject to change): Grantsville Days Parade on June 23, 2023; Deep Creek Lake Lions Club Boat Parade on July 1, 2023; Accident Homecoming Parade on July 4, 2023; Kitzmiller Homecoming on July 22, 2023; Friendsville Days Parade on August 19, 2023; The Buckwheat Festival Parade on September 30, 2023; Kick-Off Reception & Dinner on October 11, Fireman’s Parade on October 12, Banjo Championship on October 13, Grand Feature Parade on October 14, Fiddle Contest on October 14, Craft & Gift Sale on October 14 and 15, and various other events as needed.

Applicants must currently be Garrett County high school juniors who will be entering their senior year in the fall of 2023. One male and one female applicant will be chosen, and each will receive an educational contribution. Completed applications must be submitted to the Garrett County Chamber of Commerce by Friday, April 30, 2023.

The 56th Annual Autumn Glory Festival will be held October 11 – October 15, 2023.
