2021-2022 New Teachers/Educators Participate in BEST Class

>The BEST (Building Experiences for Successful Teaching) Program was recently held for all teachers new to the profession and/or new to GCPS. This weeklong event provides an overview of some of the important practices of the school system. Some of the topics include Best Practices for Distance Learning & Introduction to Schoology, Celebrating Differences in Our Learners, Closing the Achievement Gap, Emergency Preparedness, and Understanding the Student Handbook. New teachers also had an opportunity to work with the appropriate instructional director and his or her principal.

The Garrett County Public School system issues a sincere “Welcome” to these talented individuals as they embark on a new stage in their careers: educating the students of Garrett County.
