The Garrett Regional Medical Center Foundation 2023 Foundation Gala will be rescheduled from Saturday, November 11, 2023, to Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 6:00 PM at the Ag Heritage Hall at the Garrett County Fairgrounds in McHenry. Event proceeds will support behavioral health services at GRMC’s Family Health and Wellness Center located at 69 Wolf Acres Drive in Oakland. Since opening in 2019, the demand for mental and behavioral health care and treatment at GRMC’s regional behavioral health center continues to climb. The Black Sheep at MoonShadow

Chris Plein and Duncan Lorimer have been performing together as “The Black Sheep” since 2012. In addition to that, they have played music as part of “Second Cousin” and “Almost Blue” since 2008. Their musical tastes and palettes are wide ranging and include Folk, Pop, Country, and Jazz. Both Chris and Dunc have CDs of original music available (check out the audio samples below) and they regularly perform these along with other original music and their favorite cover tunes. Expect a mix of duelling guitars, electric bass, mandolin and piano the next time you see the Black Sheep on stage!

The ice rink is located in Grantsville Town Park near the Ruth Enlow Library. All sessions are limited on the number of participants so JTF1 encourages you to buy your admissions in advance but drop-ins are also welcome. Public skates are limited to scheduled times. Please see the schedule below to plan your visit. Follow us on Facebook (JTF1 or jointtrainingfacility1) to get the most up-to-date schedule. RENTALS The Ice Rink has skates for all sizes, helmets, and skate aids for rent. Skates are $2, helmets are $1, and skate aids are $2. Skate aids are only available for children under 48 inches in height. You can bring your own bike helmet. Helmets are not required but encouraged, especially for beginners. Additionally, if you are renting skates, you are required to wear socks. Please wear full-length socks - footies, ankle socks, etc. are not appropriate to protect your skin in skates. SKATE SESSIONS AND PRIVATE RENTALS JTF will hold multiple Public Skate Sessions which are $5 per skater plus skate rental. Additionally, we have two special sessions.
