Canceled Skate Sessions at JTF Ice Rink

Grantsville Town Park 85 Hershberger Lane, Grantsville

JTF will host multiple Public Skate Sessions at $6 per skater, plus an additional fee for skate rental. The 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM sessions on weekdays are $6, with skate rental included in the session price. Please note: the rink will be closed on Wednesdays, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. The JTF Ice Rink can also be reserved for group rentals. For reservations, please contact them directly. Time slots for parties will be available on Saturdays and Sundays. Early booking is recommended, as slots are limited. The party package includes 90 minutes of private ice time, a basic skating lesson, and private use of the facility for $250. Additional options include a food package for 15 people or a hot chocolate package for 20 drinks. Guests may also bring their own food, but this is permitted only for private party reservations. Cakes and food for parties cannot be brought in during public skate sessions. Group Skating Lessons can be scheduled online, with options for both beginner and intermediate small class lessons. Garrett County Department of Social Services Assistance Program

Ruth Enlow Library - Grantsville 102 Parkside Drive, Grantsville

Occurring on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at the Grantsville Library, representatives from the Garrett County Department of Social Services will be in the library to serve the community through their assistance outreach program. Customers can come see a DSS staff person at any of these locations to pick up paperwork, drop off paperwork, apply for services like SNAP, CASH Assistance and Medical Assistance, or just to ask questions about the programs and services offered by our agency. Staff can also provide referral to other community agencies if we do not have a program to address the person’s needs. ANYONE can access ANY of these locations. This schedule provides flexibility to our customers who may be working in communities away from their home, or who may be facing transportation challenges. These locations also provide support to our customers by making DSS forms available to customers during the location’s open hours of business. Customers can look for the file box labeled “DSS FORMS” to pick up forms, information or a pre-paid envelope in which to return completed forms to our office for processing.
