Oakland’s Celebration of Autumn Glory
October 10 @ 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
One event on December 1, 2020 at 12:00 pm
The Town of Oakland is planning an exciting alternative to the usual celebration of the Autumn Glory Festival this year. In an attempt to provide a fun, free, and safe atmosphere for guests, the Town of Oakland and GOBA has planned an event, spread out over the distance of downtown Oakland at various times.
Oakland’s Celebration of Autumn Glory will kick off on Friday, October 9th, with a drive-in style showing of Toy Story 4 held at the Town Parking Lot at 7:30pm. This movie is a continuation of the Oakland Little Yough Family Flicks series and is sponsored by the Garrett County Judy Center. Admission is free but space is limited.
Then on Saturday, October 10th, from 12pm-6pm, the excitement and entertainment continues with Oakland’s Celebration of Autumn Glory! In lieu of the parade, guests are invited to downtown Oakland to experience some of their favorite parts of Autumn Glory. There will be live music, local shopping, non-profit food vendors, and some local groups providing familiar entertainment. Some of the local favorites in attendance will be Rotary Fries, Cindy’s Fund, The Steve Smith Band, Boundless Energy from Brenda’s Body Shop, the Pleasant View Baptist Church Puppets, The Terah Crawford Band, Turkey Dinners by the Oakland Chapter #67- Order of the Eastern Star, Channel Cats demonstrations by Nomad Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & MMA and Oakland Martial Arts Academy, and more!
On Sunday the celebration wraps up with the Mountaintop Cruisers Car Show from 9am to 3pm.
Guests are encouraged to follow the guidelines of the Governor of Maryland and the CDC.
