Meshach Browning Pioneer Challenge
August 28 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Do you have what it takes to survive as a pioneer? Find out at the Meshach Browning Pioneer Challenge! In the event, teams of around 2 to 5 people will compete in a variety of challenges that test their pioneer-era survival skills like fire-starting, water-carrying, ax-throwing, and log-sawing! The teams will rotate through each of the challenges set up around the event venue, with their scores recorded at each and tallied at the end to determine the winner. Entry fee is $15 per person until July 31st, then $25 afterward.
The Meshach Browning Pioneer Challenge is planned not only as a fundraiser for the Club but also as a way to raise awareness of the History Center and the area’s rich heritage and history. The event will be held at the Club’s park at 1249 Bumble Bee Rd Accident MD.
We’re also looking for:
- Business Sponsors – sponsor an event by supplying all the materials and a person to staff if, or for $500, your sponsorship will be acknowledged on all print and online and in-person promotions.
- Demonstrators – do you have a pioneer-era skill to demonstrate or re-enact? We’d love to have you come out!
- Vendors – we’re looking for era-appropriate (generally) vendors of food and wares.
