Jennifer Runkles, Western Maryland Apprenticeship and Training Navigator for Allegany, Garrett, Frederick, and Washington Counties, will be our guest speaker for the November 2 HR Roundtable. This meeting will be virtual.
Apprenticeship is an earn-and-learn strategy combining on-the-job training with related (classroom) instruction, blending the practical and theoretical aspects of training for highly skilled occupations.
Apprenticeship programs are sponsored voluntarily by a wide range of organizations, including individual employers, employer associations, joint labor-management organizations, and other workforce intermediaries.
Jennifer has an extensive background in a variety of industries, from Advertising, Marketing & Communications, Manufacturing, Education, Construction Trades, BioTech, Health Care, and Hospitality.
With over 20 years in the private sector within these industries, Jennifer has had numerous successful projects and extensive knowledge to assist with the creation of a Registered & Youth Apprenticeship Programs.
