Hydrilla Treatment

Hydrilla is a fast-growing aquatic invasive plant that scientists first found in Deep Creek Lake in 2013 and have been treating with a herbicide annually since 2014. The herbicide treatment takes place each summer and is again planned for the summer of 2021. Please visit the Deep Creek Lake Natural Resource Management Area website for an overview of treatment locations and plans, including other information related to the treatment process.
