The Deep Creek Watershed Foundation is pleased to offer the 2023 Virtual Brunch and Learn Educational Series, which is being facilitated by the University of Maryland Extension in Garrett County. Each session will begin at 10:00 AM and is free and open to anyone that is interested in learning more about Deep Creek Lake and surrounding watersheds. Registration is required.
Julie Bortz with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will provide a background introduction to Submerged Aquatic Vegetation (SAV) biology and its importance to lake ecosystems.
Following the discussion, DNR staff will be on hand to answer any questions about SAV.
