Today is the 3rd session of the “Become a Maryland Master Naturalist” program, where participants are connecting with nature and learning about topics such as birds, plants, reptiles, amphibians, freshwater ecosystems, fungi, and more.
Caregivers can find support and community at the National Family Caregiver Support Group, held every fourth Wednesday from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Grantsville Senior Center. It’s a welcoming space to share experiences, practice self-care, and connect with others who understand the caregiving journey.
In the “Finding Your Roots Online: The Where and When” Fall 2024 series, participants will focus on Church and Cemetery Records today. These records provide important information about births, marriages, deaths, and burials, filling in gaps from missing vital records. They also help place ancestors in time and location. Attendees will learn how to find and use these records for their family research.
