Jay Ferguson – Real Estate Market Update June 6

Jay Ferguson – Real Estate Market Update March 17 (Deep Creek Lake, MD)

Summer is nearly upon us. After some frost this week, warmer temperatures and thunderstorms are here just in time for the first week of summer vacation. Our market here at Deep Creek Lake is always a bit throttled until summer vacations start. Schools ending, spring sports, graduations, and travel season all seem to end in late May or June, so the timing this year is no different. I have a gorgeous home at Stilwater coming on the market today – 8BR, 4000sf, 3 car garage, and a dockslip. I should have a NICE renovated lakefront home to tell you about next week – about as flat of a lakefront lawn as you will see! I also had a 4BR chalet with lake views go under contract this past week, and I hope to have a lakefront mega-house settlement on Monday. A lot of the other activity that I saw this week was in the $200k-489k range – several closings and homes that went under contract around the county.

If you ever want a private tour of a home, let me know. It’s a lot of fun for me to share 25+ years’ worth of knowledge of the lake and its history! jay@deepcreeksales.com 301-501-0420 (call/text)

271 active residential listings on the market (down from 273 last week)
48 under contract/pending (up from 43 last week)
35 total home sales closed in May (3 so far in June)
