The weather today will be mostly cloudy with a chance of rain, freezing rain, and snow, mainly in the morning. Little or no snow accumulation is expected, but ice accumulation could reach up to a tenth of an inch. Highs will be in the mid-30s. West winds will range from 10 to 15 mph, with gusts up to 25 mph. On Friday, November 22, 2024, two Southern Garrett County High School students joined 53 students from 15 schools statewide to compete in the 22nd Annual “Rethink Recycling” Sculpture Competition, hosted by the Maryland Department of the Environment in Baltimore.

Garrett County Public Schools is excited to announce that Serenity Bunner, a senior at Northern Garrett High School, has been selected as a student page for the 2025 Maryland General Assembly’s Page Program.
